Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Ziplicit, we collect:

• Account information — your email address, collected at sign-in via Clerk. We do not store passwords.
• Report inputs — the ZIP code and business category you enter to generate a report.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe stores it on our behalf under their PCI-compliant infrastructure.
• Usage data — which pages you visit and when, collected anonymously for product improvement.

We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address unless you provide them voluntarily in a support request.

How we use it

• To generate and deliver your market report.
• To send transactional emails: report delivery, follow-up outcome check-ins at 90 days and 12 months, and waitlist notifications.
• To process payments and refunds via Stripe.
• To improve scoring accuracy — aggregated, anonymized ZIP and category data helps us calibrate the model.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below who process it on our behalf.

Third-party services

• Clerk — authentication and user accounts.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Supabase — database hosting (hosted in the US).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.
• Google Maps Platform — live competitor data pulled at report time. Not stored by Ziplicit beyond the 30-day window permitted by Google's terms.

Data retention

We retain your account data and report history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or financial compliance (for example, payment records, which Stripe retains under their own policies).

Market score data (the computed scores and criteria, not linked to you personally) may be retained indefinitely to improve model accuracy.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email help@ziplicit.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (set by Clerk) and payment state (set by Stripe). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie banner is shown because we do not use non-essential cookies.
